在家裡、學校或公司，我們常常會說「我在樓上」、「去樓上找我」、「他還在樓上」，很多人會直接翻譯成 I'm at upstairs. 或 I'm on upstairs.，但這些都是常見的錯誤說法。
其實，英文裡最自然的表達方式非常簡單，只要學會 upstairs 和 downstairs 就夠了。
upstairs = 在樓上
upstairs 是最常見的「在樓上」說法。
它本身就是副詞，意思包含「在樓上」或「往樓上」，因此通常不需要再加 at、in、on 或 to 等介系詞。
